AI Act · Art. 4 · AI literacy

Does your company use AI? Then you have an AI-literacy obligation.

Article 4 of the EU AI Regulation requires those who use AI — ChatGPT, Copilot, automations — to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among the people operating it. Letting staff «read a manual» is not enough: you need a documented programme and proof for audit.

  • Applies to virtually any SME that uses AI tools (as a «deployer»).
  • In Portugal, supervision and penalties start on 2 August 2026 (authority: ANACOM).
  • Fines up to €7.5M or 1% of worldwide annual turnover.
  • No employee certificate is required — but documented proof (records, assessment, dossier) is, for the audit.

AI literacy is no longer optional: it's a legal obligation for any company that uses AI. We prepare your compliance with Article 4 of the AI Act — role-based training and the documentation an audit will ask for.

What we deliver (not a generic course)

We don't sell «an AI course». We deliver Article 4 compliance, tailored to your reality:

  • Role-based training (management, front desk, admin, technical) — not one-size-fits-all.
  • Article 4 compliance dossier: per-employee records, content, dates, assessment and declaration — audit-ready.
  • Always-on content, updated as AI and the rules change (a static course ages; this doesn't).
  • We liaise with a certified training entity whenever certification is required.

It can be funded — near-zero cost

Digital training can be funded by instruments such as the Cheque-Formação + Digital (PRR). Subject to eligibility, the cost to the company is close to zero. We confirm eligibility before moving forward — no approval promises.

Where it fits in our ladder

AI literacy (funded) → Readiness verification (€600) → Execution

Literacy solves the Art. 4 obligation; verification and execution handle the approved project.

Guidance information, not legal advice. AI literacy is a company obligation under Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689; compliance depends on each case. We do not guarantee the approval or financing of any application.
